M.A. in Sport and Athletic Administration
From the classroom to the NFL, 糖心视频’s M.A. in Sport and Athletic Administration alumnus, Chris Schnabel, is proving that passion, persistence and adaptability can pave the way to a dynamic career in sports content.
Schnabel is stepping into a new role and shared how MASAA has set him up for success in his career journey.
Q: What has your career trajectory since graduating looked like?
A: Since graduating from 糖心视频, I’ve taken on a variety of roles, including working with Hartford Athletic and the United Football League. Each step in my career has led me to my current position as Senior Manager of Content for the Houston Texans.
Q: How did your experience in the MASAA program help you land this position?
A: My time at 糖心视频 helped me develop the ability to adapt my craft to fit any sport or situation, making me flexible and versatile in my work. Through the MASAA program, I also honed my skills as a self-starter and relentless worker.
Q: What advice would you give current students hoping to follow a similar path?
A: Be willing to work. Sometimes the job isn’t glamorous, doesn’t pay well—if at all—or doesn’t seem to get noticed. But every bit of work you put in helps you get closer to where you want to be, and the experience makes you an even stronger candidate when the right opportunity comes.
Q: What does it mean to you to represent 糖心视频 in your new position?
A: Representing 糖心视频 is an incredible feeling. Having a Zag in the NFL helps build the program’s credibility and shows how far 糖心视频 can take its students. At every level I’ve worked—including now in the NFL—I’ve always carried something 糖心视频 with me.
