Lorac | Pro Palette 1 + 2 | Comparison and Review

Todays video is going to be a review and side by side comparison of the Lorac Pro palette ($42 | 16 shadows) , and the Pro palette 2. Originally before I owned either of these palettes I was skeptical of how small the shadows were in the palette. I had swatched them and saw first hand how rich the color saturation was, but still felt guilty for buying a palette for such a heavy price to only get a few grams of product. But as a beauty blogger...you eventually cave in.

After using my Pro Palette original or "#1" I automatically fell in love. This prompted the purchase of the #2 palette when it came out. Here you can see a mini review on each palette while also seeing a side by side comparison of their differences.

What the review to see why these palettes are in my opinion, a must have in your collection! Hope you enjoy!

▲Signature Fall Makeup Look▲

One of my favorite fall tends is the vampy lip! Every girl can look like a badass (excuse the french) with a simple lip color. This one I posted on Instagram and Facebook a little while ago (top picture) and had a reply of an overwhelming flood of likes. Apparently I need to wear this makeup more often ;)

Everything in my Fall Makeup look is pretty basic besides the lip color. If you're not one to try new lip shades or feel like its out of your comfort zone, I would recommend trying the shade Prague by NYX. I always tell clients and friends to wear it for a day before deciding if you can wear it. Also look up different styles on Pinterest to see how other girls wear what your wanting. Sometimes it can simply be a change of eye shadow or blush that can make you really like a look on yourself!
I want to see you be BRAVE!

DoeDeere | Princess Tea Party | Braided Chignon

Here is another gorgeous updo worn by LimeCrime CEO, Doe Deere, that I've recreated to share with you! She recently wore this to a friends tea party and to the NYX Face Awards. It's the perfect girly chignon that can be easily styled on yourself for an adorable night out style! You can personalize it with any hair ornaments you like. As you can see she wore little roses in one day and a butterfly another day. I always love the way she puts her hair up...and everything else!
Happy styling!

L.A. Girl | Glide Gel Liner

Following last weeks review on the L.A. Girl Lip Paints, I am excited to share their Glide Gel EyeLiners ($5) this week! When I first got these in the mail I thought "Oh great, these are going to be so cheap and waxy." Because lets face it, most inexpensive liners are 99% wax and 1% pigment. But despite my hesitation, these Gel Liners are a wonderful surprise!

First lets talk about the packaging. They are a easy to use pencil application with the ability to sharpen and come with 0.04oz in 19 beautiful shades. I personally like pencil and pen applicators because they are easy to travel with and don't require a brush so I feel like less product is wasted.

The formula of these gel liners is mind blowing, they are super-duper creamy! They literally go on like butter. The first one I swatched was the blue shade and I couldn't believe how easy it came off on my skin, the vibrancy and pigmentation is shown in just one swipe. Once on your eyes they display a great lasting ability, even when I swatch them and rub my fingers over them repeatedly they stay in place without budging! The lasting ability is pretty powerful and I didn't once feel like I needed to reapply. Could they get any better? These little guys are a 10 out of 10 for me!

| CHAMPAGNE | METALLIC COPPER | AQUATIC | PARADISE PURPLE |

L.A. Girl has really impressed me with what I've tried from them so far. Whether your a makeup beginner, or a makeup hoarder, these Gel Liners are a must have in your collection! I think I need them all...haha! #makeuphoarder

August Favorites

Wow, August was a crazy month! Super busy and filled with a ton of changes for my personal life. Not only did my husband and I move into our adorable new apartment, but I also moved up a position in my job! I'm now working as a part time stylist at my salon and am so excited to be working on my own clients. The salon where I work is in Newport Beach, CA and you can make an appointment with me via email at alexsis.scaletti@salon359.com!

My monthly favorites were very well loved over the past couple weeks. I really like the peachy warm tones and mixing in some rosy cool ones as well. Something that when done right can be very flattering. I hope you enjoyed your last month of summer, and welcome in September with high hopes. It is my birthday month after all ;) Its bound to be amazing!

L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint | Review

The past year I have become a lippie junkie. My collection has grown and is now busting at the seams...I won't even talk about the HUGE haul I just ordered online that you'll see soon. While browsing the feed of my Instagram I've seen a lip paint from L.A. Girl that all the beauty bloggers are buzzing about. So of corse I needed to see whats so exciting about them!

I'm a huge fan of glosses, especially because I tend to wear nudes and pinks most of the time which makes glosses my easy go-to. The L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints ($4 | 0.40fl.) claim to have the pigmentation of a lipstick with the ease and shine of a gloss. I think some people are getting these confused with trying to be a lipstick although the name of the product "Glazed" means something else to me. I think of a semi opaque pigmentation with a heavy shine. Which is exactly how these paints apply. They are like a gloss with out the sticky feel, which are comparable to OCC Lip Tar but still have a slightly different texture. And have amazing vibrant pigmentation with a beautiful high shine. The paints have a peppermint oil that cools your lips and vitamin E to keep them super hydrated.

While the paints are impressive with their pigmentation, they aren't as solid as lipsticks. I honestly like them alone with the exception of Babydoll which I feel settles into fine lines and doesn't leave a pretty finish when worn alone. But whats great about these paints is that they layer beautiful with each other and over lipsticks making them the perfect topping to your favorite lippies. I would also recommend if your wearing them alone to use a lip primer like MAC's Prep and Prime Lips to keep it from color outside the lines.

Last but not least the packaging. They look really cute but the traditional gloss tube and applicator are a no-no for precise application. It turns into a hot mess unless you apply with a lip brush, which is what I like to do.

To wrap it up I would like to say that I like these fun lip paints and am really impressed especially since they are $4! Other brands like OCC and Too Faced have comparable products that are a nicer (meaning more expensive) quality, a bit of a different formula, but can't compete with the price. If I had to pick a favorite I would have to say its between Bombshell and Blushing because they are gorgeous colors that can be worn year round!
