Dutch Milk Maid Braid Updo ♡ NO HEAT

There is nothing better then a fast braided hairstyle that looks super chic and gets you out of the house in a flash. This tutorial is a braided style that requires no heat, and can be done in just a few minutes.
I love the look of the Milk Maid braids inspired by the classic Dutch hairstyles we've seen worn long ago and in cartoons. Anytime I can wear braids is a good time! This is a replica, and a hairstyle that is now worn on the runway and by celebrities alike. Great for days that you don't want to take a lot of time, or feel like a cute bohemian hairstyle!

Je bent mooi.

Glam Me Baby! ♥ Jewelry

How can you resist the temptation of gorgeous jewelry? My answer to to indulge, but shop at a website that offers beautiful items for shopaholic friendly prices!
I love jewelry! There is no denying that. Keeping up with the trends can be a challenge, but shopping on Shop Lately makes it easy and affordable! They carry everything from jewelry, clothes, shoes, and much more. I ordered three to die for pieces that have quickly turned heads and become a fatal attraction where I work. Let me introduce you to what I got!

This is the Vintage Native Necklace Set in antique gold. A stunning statement necklace featuring gold strand chains, crystal clear rhinestones, small gold hanging spikes, and old fashioned looking gray stones. This necklace lays so beautifully on your neck, and got so many compliments I almost had to give it to somebody! Its adjustable lobster claw clasp allows you to size it to your neck.

The second item I got is the Floral Crystal Earrings in clear/gold. This setting is a shiny gold plating with crystal rhinestones and an oval centered gem. These earrings are the perfect compliment to an open neck shirt or swept back updo. I love taking something so glamorous like this and wearing it with a white tshirt and boyfriend jeans, mixing the styles.

The last thing I got is the Fringed Beauty Necklace Set in the color gray. I wanted somethings with a gray tone because normally you don't see this shade in jewelry. The necklace is a lightweight feel with a thin bright gold  chain and hanging gray fringe.

I can't wait to order more from their fun website, I have my eye on a "few" things *wink wink*! If you register with your Facebook you can earn $10 to start your shopping! Theres your kick-start to treating yourself to something shiny and new!
Find other items from Shop Lately and what is in my profile wish-list/love-list here!

(A sparkly thank you to Shop Lately for sending me these items. Although these were sent to me to review, all opinions were completely my own and 100% honest. I would never recommend something I would not wear or use. Love you guys!)

How to Keep Curls Fresh ♡ for Second Day Hair

Theres nothing worse then having to wake up early to style your hair each morning. Personally, I only like to wash my hair every two or three days. It's less work and better for your hair. My favorite way to wear my hair is in curls, and making it last longer then one day is necessary because washing and blowing out my hair takes long and can be damaging if you do it excessively. This easy trick lets me wear my curls for two to three days while still looking beautiful and not like Simba just got out of a wild Lion King cat fight! Meow!

Follow along my quick overnight tip to recycle your beautiful curls for multiple days. And remember, if your roots get a bit greasy just use your handy dandy dry shampoo in the morning to keep you and your hair going great!

BH Cosmetics 10 Blush Palette Review

If you've watched my IMATS LA haul, you saw that I bought a new blush palette from BH Cosmetics.  This is their 10 Color Professional Blush palette containing 10 shades ranging from peachy pink to orange reds in both matte and shimmer formulas. I purchased this for $8 at the show, it normally retails for $16. BHC always has great sales going up to 50% off across their whole website of products, so if your wanting an even better deal just wait for a sale.

My overall impression of this palette is that the outside shell packaging is really compact, and made out of a nice matte plastic. I like that it's slender because it makes traveling easy and the matte black will look nice in my professional makeup kit. When you open the case, inside you'll see 10 pans of blush that are a bit smaller then MAC and Tarte blushes. The only negative thing about this palette is that the material holding the blushes is either a hard paper or plastic material, which isn't as durable compared to the plastic case. So I would imagine that you need to be careful with that. The blushes themselves are a mineral based blush with a moderate pigmentation in my opinion. This can't compare to my other blushes from NARs or Tarte, but it still has a good color pay off for a less expensive blush. I wouldn't recommend to use this under heavy lights or flash photography.

The top row of colors consist of a matte natural brown shade, a matte light peachy rose, a shimmery cool pink with lavender undertones, a matte coral pink, and a shimmery mauve brown. The second row has a matte cool tone bubblegum pink, a matte warm rose, a shimmery orangey red, a matte fuchsia pink, and a matte orangey brown shade.
(Swatches on light/medium skin tone without primer)

To sum it up, this is a budget friendly palette with moderate pigmentation that can be built up and inner mixed. If your just getting into makeup, or like a more sheer tone blush, or want a daily blush palette this can be a good option for you. It's not up there with my professional brand blushes, but still a good palette.

IMATS 2014 Haul ✿ + Meet & Greet Pictures

Ever wanted to be in the same place with all your favorite YouTube makeup gurus? IMATS in Los Angeles is the place to go! Saturday the 18th I went to the 2014 show with the intension to meet all the gorgeous ladies I watch
everyday on my computer screen.
This show was so much fun, and something I hope to do every year! The IMATS are held in Pasadena at the convention center in one of their huge rooms. This show had around 100 booths with venders ranging from Makeup Geek to Lime Crime and much more. Like I said, my main objective was to meet other Youtube girls that I have become friends with as well as meet some of my favorite beauty girls. I'd say I defiantly met all my favorites and was able to take pictures with them.
When you think about these girls you can't help but to see them as celebrities, so meeting them in person and being able to talk to them face to face was really nice. I spoke to Marlena for a minute and told her how she is inspiring me and that I did a review on her eyeshadows that she commented on and Marlena remembered me, which was super sweet. She is such a beautiful person inside and out, and I love how she shares her personal life with us and the things that she deals with.
I also got to talk with Allison and Amanda for a minute. When I first asked to take a picture with Allison I was so excited I didn't even introduce myself (I tell you about this in my video). Epic fan girl moment, and I felt really silly afterwards. Luckily, Allison was walking around with Amanda when I asked to take a picture with Amanda so I apologized to Allison for being so silly. They were really sweet and down to earth. Obviously my hair isn't the typical braid you see, they told me how cute it was and asked me to tag them in the picture I posted so they could see my tutorial. I give them my blog card with the biggest smile ever, they are going to watch my tutorials!! Crossing fingers!
I had a blast at the IMATS, and got just a few goodies that I share with you in my video. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy!

Textured French Braid ❅ Elsa's Hair from Disney's Frozen

As winter sweeps over the United States sending temperatures into the negatives, it's only fitting for Disney to come out with their newest movie Frozen. This tale is about a princess who's icy powers kept her in solitude, and her estranged sister that helps the princess face her fears and allow love to concur a catastrophic event.
I really enjoyed watching this movie! I've been a Disney fan since I was a child, I'm twenty two now and still get excited when a cute princess movie comes out. My husband jokingly says he watches me turn into a little girl when I go to Disney World or watch these movies.

Seeing Elsa magically transform into the gorgeous Ice Queen was so breathtaking... and of corse I instantly fell in love with Elsa's braided hairstyle. So this tutorial will be on how to get the Icy Braid with a few tricks on how to get volume that will stay in any hair texture. This is a second day hair look for me, great to wear the day after curls. It also requires no heat, unless you have super duper curly hair...then obviously a flat iron comes into play. If you would like another tutorial on her other hairstyle or makeup please let me know!

How to Clean Your ♡ Clarisonic

The first time I took off my brush head was to change to a new one and I noticed that the actual gear part inside was skummy and moldy. Obviously I was not properly taking care of my Mia 2, and to think I was washing my face with this thing, disgusting! I looked over to my shower and relaized that my Clarisonic lived where it saw only moist conditions creating the perfect habitat for scum and mold. I definitely don't want to be washing my face with something that is unsanitary and gross. Because this is a little machine, you can't simply run it through the dishwasher for fear of over heating the motors or plastic. Here is a way I found that sanitizes as well as thoroughly cleans your machine head.

Take your brush head off of the machine, and lay this to the side. Taking hydrogyne peroxide (which is an antiseptic and kills bacteria), pour this into your Clarisonic head until it's full. Allow this to sit for a good five minutes. You will see some bubbling like you would if you put it on a cut, this tells you that it is cleaning any bacteria and left behind dead skin cells. After it's sat for five minutes, use a clean old tooth brush to lightly scrub away any scum. Then rinse this with hot water. Repeat this process until cleaned and let it dry out in the sun. You can let your brush head sit in the hydrogyne peroxide as well.

Using clean face implements is important to keeping your skin clean and healthy! I hope this helps, and if you have any other beauty tools you'd like to know how to clean please let me know!

Hair Extensions- Luxury for Princess Review

If you think that celebrities have amazingly thick hair and are born that way, most times you've been fooled. All the women pictured above have worn or are wearing extensions! There are deferent methods and brands but today I'm going to talk about clip-in extensions by Luxury for Princess.
Luxury for Princess is an extension company dedicated to making their customers feel like a princess. Made from 100% human remy hair, they offer great quality and the extensions can be styled and treated just like your own hair. They have clips-in's for fine hair gals at 120gr which is their smallest set, all the way to 220gr which is their thickest set for us girls with lots of hair. On their website they offer 10 different colors that are 22 inches. Each set contains 10 wefts (strips of hair);
2 : 8" wide with 4 clips
2 : 6" wide with 3 clips
2 : 4" wide with 2 clips
4 : 1" wide with 1 clip
The wefts are sewn with a clip to attach to your hair and wear without a long term commitment. That's what is great about clip-ins, you can wear them when you want to and take them out when you want to. Each clip has a silicone strip to keep your hair safe and make sure they don't slip out, it gives it grip against your hair. This is great because it ensures that they will stay in place all day, and if your hair tends to fall out of styles or is slippery it will stay better.
Wearing 5 of the 10 wefts for volume
I wanted to do this review so you can see what you can use to add volume to your hair, as well as what I honestly think about these extensions. I'm going to let the video tell you my opinion, so watch and see if they make a princess out of me ;) !!!
