BH Cosmetics 10 Blush Palette Review

If you've watched my IMATS LA haul, you saw that I bought a new blush palette from BH Cosmetics.  This is their 10 Color Professional Blush palette containing 10 shades ranging from peachy pink to orange reds in both matte and shimmer formulas. I purchased this for $8 at the show, it normally retails for $16. BHC always has great sales going up to 50% off across their whole website of products, so if your wanting an even better deal just wait for a sale.

My overall impression of this palette is that the outside shell packaging is really compact, and made out of a nice matte plastic. I like that it's slender because it makes traveling easy and the matte black will look nice in my professional makeup kit. When you open the case, inside you'll see 10 pans of blush that are a bit smaller then MAC and Tarte blushes. The only negative thing about this palette is that the material holding the blushes is either a hard paper or plastic material, which isn't as durable compared to the plastic case. So I would imagine that you need to be careful with that. The blushes themselves are a mineral based blush with a moderate pigmentation in my opinion. This can't compare to my other blushes from NARs or Tarte, but it still has a good color pay off for a less expensive blush. I wouldn't recommend to use this under heavy lights or flash photography.

The top row of colors consist of a matte natural brown shade, a matte light peachy rose, a shimmery cool pink with lavender undertones, a matte coral pink, and a shimmery mauve brown. The second row has a matte cool tone bubblegum pink, a matte warm rose, a shimmery orangey red, a matte fuchsia pink, and a matte orangey brown shade.
(Swatches on light/medium skin tone without primer)

To sum it up, this is a budget friendly palette with moderate pigmentation that can be built up and inner mixed. If your just getting into makeup, or like a more sheer tone blush, or want a daily blush palette this can be a good option for you. It's not up there with my professional brand blushes, but still a good palette.
