Business Cards

YAY! My business cards finally came in the mail!
The purple decorative ones are for my To Die For blog site, and the one with pictures if for my professional website! I ordered these off Vista Print and am really pleased with them. You can get 250 free cards and only pay shipping with their selected options which is great for starting up or just to have some simple cards. Then my professional ones were $10 for 50, which I got to pick from a ton of designs and upload my own pictures. So happy to finally have these.
Not to mention that my brother designed my professional freelance website for me! Which prompted my order of cards. CLICK HERE to see my new site!

♡Get Ready with Sarah and Me♡

My friend Sarah just graduated from middle school! Upon her graduation her mom asked me to style her hair and makeup for the graduation ceremony. Sarah said I could do whatever I wanted…which is always fun. I love her long thick hair, and did a gorgeous waterfall braid with big wavy curls and a girly makeup look to compliment her beautiful blue eyes. I have tagged a few videos on how I do some of these styles so you can achieve this look at home! Hope you enjoy and if you've graduated as well, CONGRATS!

NYX Lip Butter

Gotta share these yummy lip butters!
Can you say super creamy, beautifully pigmented, rich, sheer, delicious gloss?
Yes please I would like the entire shade collection! I saw these used a few times with not much recognition so I thought I might give them a try. Since more beauty gurus go towards the full makeup look with lipstick you don't get to see many glosses used. HELLO!?! These are my absolute new favorites and I can't believe I haven't discovered then until now! They are the lip loves of my life. Welcome to the wonderful world of…no not Disney, NYX Lip Butter!
Here is a swatch of the ones I have so far.

top to bottom: peaches and cream, maple blondie, apple strudel, tiramisu, creme brulee, & eclair! Find these gorgeous candy glosses at Ulta or online at NYX $5!

Skin Routine & Clarisonic Review

Go from worrying about your skin and break outs to getting compliments on how beautiful you skin is.
That is what happened to me!
For Christmas this past year I asked my husband for a Clarisonic Mia 2, and was so beyond excited when it came in the mail! I've been avidly using my Mia for 6 months twice a day. It has cleared out my skin and made my pores clean and allowed them to become smaller.
I can't emphasize how much I truly love my little skin machine! I've also recommended this to a few of my friends including my best friend who is getting married in September. She tried it out and has fallen in love with it and told me she is so happy to have tried it!

Coming from a girl who grew up with severe acne, this is like a little miracle maker!
Watch my video on how I wash and take care of my skin with my Clarisonic review at the end!
Please feel free to voice your opinion of your clarisonic and any questions you might have!

Products used:
Clarisonic Mia 2
Morning: Clean and Clean- Continuous Control Acne Cleanser
Evening: Philosophy- Purity Makeup Removing Gel Wash
Philosophy- Hope in a Jar moisturizer
Neutrogena- On The Spot Acne Treatment

Mascara Review: L'Oreal

One thing I can't leave the house without would be my mascara. Since I'm blonde my eyelashes look invisible until I coat them twice with my favorite mascara. As you know most women like to change it up and try something new and exciting, probably something on television that has a model with obviously fake long lashes. Never the less, we try that fancy new formula when our mascara has dried up. Well instead of trying out the mascara that promises thicker laches that reach to your eyebrows I hit the web.

Since I'm a blogger I rely on other bloggers and their personal experiences with makeup, after all who wants to buy something that smells terrible or is inadequate? Not I! Once I bought Maybellines Colossal Mascara and man did it stink! I swear it smells like dead roses, but I don't know it could be me. The Colossal its self was a nice mascara that separated your lashes and made them look nice. But can't say that I was overly impressed by it, plus I couldn't get over the smell!

Anyways, I looked checked out multiple sites for a favorite drugstore mascara. Multiple girls said they loved the L'Oreal Voluminous Original mascara. Off to the store I went, and I got the original formula like the girls had, in the color blackest black. Here is what the mascara claims and what I found:

  • Voluminous® Volume Building Mascara is uniquely formulated to resist clumping, soften and build lashes up to 5X their natural thickness.  The unique maximizing formula quickly thickens and builds lashes in a single application for a full and dramatic look. The Volume Maximizing Brush thickens lashes evenly and smoothly, leaving them soft with virtually no flakes, smudges or clumps. Clump-resistant. Fragrance-free. Ophthalmologist-tested and allergy-tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
  • Did it stand up to the claims? I believe so! I really like the formula and how smooth and creamy it is. Applying with the wand is easy and the mascara goes on really well. I don't have to keep applying to try and make my lashes look thicker. I love that it doesn't flake or smudge. Also, the wand itself is curved so it spreads your lashes instead of clumping them together. I can't say that I agree with the suitable for sensitive eyes and contacts because I'm neither of those. I also got the waterproof formula and FREAKING LOVE IT! It doesn't come off in water or the ocean, only with makeup remover. Huge plus for me!
So if your in the market for a new mascara or simply want to try something new I would recommend this brand! Let me know if you've used this mascara and how you feel about it!

Curl your hair with Hot Rollers!☺

Did you know that most curling irons heat up to around 400-450 degrees? HOLY COW thats so much heat on your precious hair!!! I like to use my hot rollers to create gorgeous curls with half the heat! NO, hot rollers are not out of style. In fact they and velcro rollers are used on runway more then anything! I just got a new set in fact, my BaByliss PRO Nano Titanium 30 roller set. Love it! Nothing better then a good selection of ceramic rollers. Watch and see how I get this look!

Photo Shoot- Megan Edward

Here are some shots from a photo shoot I did last month. The photography is from B&V Studios, a husband and wife team who loves photography and makeup so they decided to channel their passions into a business.  Beau is the photographer, Veronica the makeup artist, and I was the hair stylist!

You can achieve this hairstyle by using a 1 1/2 inch curling iron. Curl all your hair away form your face and put every curl up in a pin curl clip to allow it to set for 10 minutes. Then spray a finishing hairspray all over, take down your curls and use your fingers to comb and separate the curls. To finish, spray with hairspray again!
Beautiful wavy curls that are perfect for a senior picture or date night!

❤How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes❤

Did you know that your makeup brushes house all the germs and gunk that your skin touches and encounters everyday? Then they have a nasty party inside your brush which can make you breakout and have dirty little germs on your beautiful skin. I'm not a big fan of that so I like to go beyond the spritz cleaner that I use daily and give them a good wash every couple of weeks! Watch my tutorial and learn how to safely and effectively clean your brushes and make them bacteria and makeup free!

4 Hairstyles That Make One

Summer is my favorite season. I love the easy and simplicity of summer , not to mention the beach trips! Today I created a really fun tutorial that takes 4 looks that work together to create one final look. Depending on how you want to wear your hair, you can choose from 4 styles or even wear one each day leading up to the updo. This style doesn't require hot tools which is also great, and only take a few minutes! Have fun my gorgeous gals♡!!!
