Hello and welcome to a clown/joker makeup tutorial....no really this is a Brother Does my Makeup video. I asked my middle brother River, whom I used to dress up and apply makeup when we were much younger and he didn't have a choice, and obviously he was ecstatic and couldn't wait to record. I'm pretty sure I laughed off 1000 calories while we made this, so I hope you laugh along with us and enjoy this video!

Fashion is different in every city and town. Many of us look to fashion capitols like Tokyo, Japan with their distinct graphic design and fearless outgoing clothes, or the way New York sets its standards on class and individualistic statement pieces. We all have the things that set us apart and make us unique.
Back in the south fashion is played safe with boots and follows the trends of cities near them. Now that I am home in Southern California I feel as though not only am I home, but I can actually express my style once again! My friend Lori made the trip out to Cali with me, a born and raised southern bell, she stated time and again how California boys have their own style and no one else can compare. I believe that to be true...with the guys as well the the women. Not only in fashion but also in slang, where else would the words like; dude, gnarly, and hella come from?
I wanted to share with my followers the style that SoCal represents this year. Check out these pictures and see if you agree :)

Awhile ago I announced my move back to my hometown in Southern California. It felt surreal that my husband and I were actually moving, especially because we were moving such a long distance away (2,200 miles). Last Thursday we picked up our Uhaul truck and packed it to the brim...I don't even think a mouse could wiggle its way in! Haha! After a ridiculously long day we went to my husbands moms house to have our going away dinner. It's so hard to move away from the ones you love, we are so thankful for the support from our families!
Friday morning came and we did our last minute pack then set off around 10am to dive around 500 miles our first day. The entire trip took us through 8 states; Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, to California. With two flat tires and a oil smoke bomb in the engine of the Uhaul our road trip lasted 4 days. We are so happy to be home and settled! Seriously though, I don't think my butt could last another day in the car...let alone my sanity! My first upload from California will be this next Monday, see you then :)
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

"Women are their own worst beauty critics. Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. At Dove, we are committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. So, we decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see. "
Please watch this video, I believe it to be extremely powerful on how we perceive ourselves. I posted a picture on my Instagram the other day which read:
"No one cares about your flaws as much as YOU do!"
This video made by Dove is an incredible example that what you see in the mirror isn't always correct. Share with your friends, daughters, mother, & sisters!

My best friend from Cosmetology school, Cassie, is getting married this September! She is such a girly girl, her whole wedding will be decked out in pink and silver styled with an elegant feel created by her dream team family! One of her bridesmaids asked me what a good hairstyle would be for the event, so in turn I sent her a few pictures of hairstyles.
I turned to my followers on Instagram and Facebook for you to decide between 4 different styles. You all really liked number 2 (which was my favorite as well!), a perfect style with an effortless feel to go with any event from casual to black-tie events! Now I did the braid different then the picture because not everyone can french braid their hair, but alas this hair style is super cute for your spring and summer occasions.
I hope you enjoy!

I love working with photographers to do fun things like print work and photo-shoots! So last Saturday I got asked to do a local job. This lovely girl Tori is a featured model for Raw Talent clothing, a small clothing company getting its start. This was shot by a local photographer, Shane Hunter, and the makeup done by myself!

You wedding day is probably going to be the most important day of your life! All eyes go to the bride as she steps out and walks down the aisle towards her future. More beautiful then ever, her soon to be husband smiles as he sees her for the first time. Getting styled for that moment can be a task, but I am here to help you make that process easier.
I hope you enjoy the simple step by step video I made!

I was born in southern California, grew up a beach baby due to my families business in the surf board industry. My 3 bothers and I were brought up with salt water in our hair and scraped knees from skate boarding. But along came the day that our parents felt like God was telling them to move out South to be with distant family. So our adventure began. We all lived out here for a few years while my dad commuted back and forth from California. When I graduated from high school I moved to Nashville and enrolled in Cosmetology school, where my husband proposed to me. After being stupid excited about being engaged I found out that my parents were planning to move back to our homeland...lol. Go figure right? So i've been living out south with my wonderful husband for 3 additional years.
If you haven't seen the few things that I've posted on some videos...I'm moving back to my hometown on April 19th! Driving 2,100 miles to sunny California...from Alabama! MY amazing husband got a wonderful job offer, which was the prompt of our move, an incredible opportunity because our desire was to eventually move out there.
I'm going to apologize right now if my blogging isn't as consistent as usual, since I'm packing and moving all the craziness follows. I will be posting updates and pictures from the trip out there (which takes 3 days to drive!), and trying to keep up with my daily facebook postings and whatnot. But I'll tell you right now you will probably be seeing lots of funny board pictures from us! When I get settled after the move I will be back and at full force!
Thank you for your support and love!
